Age When You Got the DS
I was 52 when I had mine and turned 53 one month later.
Pregnancy was never an issue, since I had a hysterectomy at age 35. I kept both ovaries, but one eventually had to be removed.
Both surgeries were the best decisions I made!

DS (lap) with Dr. Clifford Deveney. Cholecystectomy (lap) with Dr. Clifford Deveney 19 months post-op.
Has not weighed myself since 1/2010. Letting my clothes gauge my progress instead.
42...I think....I lose track or choose to lose track...lol. Yeah, having the DS at 42 in three weeks. I wished I had done this in my 30s. I have lost quite a few years of my life to being a prisoner in my body.
I was 48 when I had my surgery last December. Like many others, I wish I had done this many years ago, but then again I am at just the right point in my life for this. My daughter is older and ready to go to college, so I have enough time to focus on taking care of myself and adapting to the WLS lifestyle changes.
I was 21 when I had the surgery and I am two years out. I am still losing weight and have no regain at all. I am going in for my skin removal in August.
I had to realize AFTER I had the surgery that it wasn't a quick fix. I had to change my LIFE and once I realized that then everything changed, the weight melted off and I was able to use my DS as a tool instead of depending on it to fix my bad habits.
I do not regret getting my DS at such a young age. I have my WHOLE life ahead of me to live EXACTLY as I want and do all of the things I never thought I could do and all the things I could never even dream of.
