Wedding bands

Maybe it is psychological but I am putting off resizing my wedding set. They are too loose and I am so scared to lose them. I never had this problem before. I am scared to get them cut because in the back of my mind I am thinking "What if this does not last?" I am trying to get over it. trying to vanish these thoughts in my brain because no matter what I promised myself I would never be as heavy as I was. Is there a clip or something that I can buy for my rings? This is just the beginning of my journey and I will resize permanently when I get to goal.

I did wind up giving away my scrubs to a co worker...that is a start right?

I completely understand your hesitation. Heck, I am putting off buying new clothes, which I desperately need, because of that voice in the back of my head that tells me "it never lasts".  But that's old stinkin thinkin, and I know I need to commit to my new lifestyle, all in - just like it were a bag of Lay's Potato Chips :)  We got this, girl.  We need to give ourselves the positive thoughts that this will last, and we have done the work, and will continue to do so.

I do think they make an insert you can put in your rings to make them smaller - just in case you're not ready to do the sizing yet.

Hi

Just wanted to let you know I am 2 years post op and I just had my rings re sized. Haven't been able to wear them in a long time. I totally understand your thinking. It takes a while to accept the new you. Atleast for me it did. Wait. I am still not believing this is the new me. I have a lot 199 pounds. So go for it.

Congrats on your loss so far.  They do make ring sizers that are little metal bands that go on the inside of the ring.  I would suggest going to a jewler and letting them install it for you though because they are not all created equal some will scratch the inside of your rings if they are not put in properly.  Just ask a jeweler they will be able to get you the right thing that wont damage your rings.  Again good luck and congrats!

I waited until I was at goal before I resized, and went down 4 sizes smaller.  There are ring guards you can use, or just wrap tape around the band at the inside of your finger.

I use to manage a jewelry store and yes they do make an insert that fits inside your ring to make it smaller. =) Google ring sizer insert and you will see them on Amazon, Ebay and other places. Or you can drop by your local jewelry store. On another note..........

THAT IS FREAKING AWESOME, YOUR RINGS ARE TO BIG!!!!

Check out a website called Signals . . . they have a heart shaped charm for a necklace specifically for holding rings. Mine has engraving so I can't ever have it cut, it would ruin the message on the inside.  Once I can't wear it anymore, I will get this and wear it as a necklace when I'm wearing an outfit it would look good with.  I also want a new one to actually wear, so people know I'm married, and I want diamonds this time!   :-D
