DSP reversed to gastric sleeve?

I have been in hospital do 5 days abd pain. They do not do DS here. I had DS in 07. Gastro dr recommended I get DS revised to gastric sleeva. Is that even possible?

If you have the DS, you already have a sleeve plus a reconfigured intestine.  Sounds like they are talking about leaving your stomach alone and taking down the intestinal bypass.  You need to have these surgeons to contact your DS surgeon and you need to contact your DS surgeon.  You may not need a takedown.  Is there any way you can get to a DS surgeon or back to your original DS surgeon?

Waiting on catscan results.. O I intend to use a DS surgeon for sure if surgery as surgery is a last resort. And I already have the name of one my friend used. If any surgery is necessary I will not go back to original surgeon as there were too many complications. The surgeon I'm thinking about is dr harez I am hoping he takes my insurance.. I should know

I know you've had a lot of problems, but I wouldn't be taking advice about my DS from a surgeon who doesn't DO the DS. Get in touch with your original surgeon, or with Dr. Ara Keshishian in CA. I really think that 95% of your problems have ben due to poor pre-op education about how to live with your DS, and poor post-op follow-up. I think all that needs to be addressed before you consider any sort of further surgery.

Results of catscan are an enlarged liver and fluid around the liver. I don't know if this is DS related but when I looked up possible causes of an enlarged liver I found some interesting facts I'd like anyone to comment on: high protein diet can cause enlarged liver also high copper in diet (I have been taking vitalady's copper vitamin) high iron in diet(been on Vitalady s iron) however I am still slightly anemic 11.9. Still waiting to hear from gastro dr. Guess I'm in hospital another night! Sighs....

Enlarged liver is very common with MO people, which is why many surgeons require a liver shrinking diet.
