Today it's been six weeks since surgery...
I have been back to work since March 6th. It has not been easy because I am still very woozy.. I get in my fluids most of the time and at this point I haven't counted my protein or carb intake. I started my vitamins and yesterday was the first day I got the entire Vitalady DS regimen down.

I hadn't tolerated the shakes very well but I tried one a couple days ago and it didn't make me feel bad so I've started them again.
At this point I eat a lot of cheese, yogurt, beans, and lunch meat. I've tried other things like chicken, steak, ribs but of course I spit out what I'm afraid to swallow.

At two weeks out I was vomiting and ended up in the ER. Then at three weeks I ended up back in the ER for vomiting and dehydration. I stayed there for a week. GAINED 5LBS while I was there! They decided to up my antacid to twice a day since all I threw up was acid. YUCK! I have since added Zantac because I could still feel the stomach acid.. Hopefully it settles soon.

I'm still pretty weak. Showering is exhausting and forget about washing laundry... But other than that I am very happy with my decision to have this surgery. It hasn't changed my life yet other than the above.. But I could have never lost 68 lbs on my own! 23lbs lost on pre op diet and 45lbs lost since surgery!

Banded on 7/1/09,cool removed on 11/11... Switched on 2/5/13. Ticker includes 23lbs lost on preop diet...

Congrats. I remember getting dizzy showering.  Try adding in some electrolytes - maybe a diet version of Gatorade.  I took Dioralyte (I don't think you have that in the US) and it really helped with my dizziness.
