TOM.... women only
Mine was heavy and now it has slowed down it did change it though. There was a period of time I got it and it was like the gift you didn't want that just kept giving I had it for like two weeks. But i get a heavy one then its light or non existent the next couple of months. I am not sure if it is the birth control I am on or it's the ds but when you start losing weight my body at least seems to get a little out of wack.
Mirena coil here so no periods to deal with although my ferritin is slowly going down despite taking plenty of iron (liquid ferrous furmarate - the Tender Iron wasn't tender enough for me - am on Vitalady for the rest). My consultant plans to put me on infusions this summer.

Mine were a little heavy pre-op and then about 6 months post-op I had the Paragard IUD installed. My periods got heavier and I dealt with it for a couple years until I became anemic. My hematologist said I needed to have it removed and do something different or all the iron in the world wouldn't fix it. I had it removed and had the Mirena installed and my periods are all but gone. I do have spotting for a day or two and that's it. I have no more anemia either.
