Beware: This is a little gross
How much fat are you getting in? Sounds like you need to cut back. Are you on the full regime of vites? Iron and calcium should help solidify things. Get on the Vitalady program if you're not already. Are you getting a minimum of 100g protein a day.
Lactose could be a culprit so try cutting that out for a couple of days - you'll see a difference soon enough. Sweetener can cause problems so switch to stevia for a day or 2 to confirm.

Think about what you've been eating lately. Have you tried anything new lately?
Lactose is something I was thinking about too. Straight milk does horrible things to me, while cheese and yogurt are not a problem at all. If you're adding milk to protein drinks, try something without milk or substitute heavy cream (which has very little lactose) and see what happens.
Artificial sweeteners also can make things like this happen. Have you found the perfect sweet sugar free item?
Another thing may be the need for probiotics. If you're not taking one, at least add yogurt to your food list.

If you're having protein powder that could be the cause. Powdered products really cause me upset - it's the preservative they use on them.

You're not that far out, and your GI tract has been through a lot. It took a full year for my innards to settle down into a pattern, and to "solidify", so to speak. It also takes time for the intestinal flora to get to "normal" for DS. I had a lot of floating oil when I was just out, too.
There are new "body signs" you'll have to learn to know when it's time to go, and they vary with each individual.
Perhaps cut down on fat consumption a bit, and that could help some. You still need some fat in your diet to make it easier to "go", so moderate fat is better than non-fat. You'll have to experiment to see what works best for you. Pay attention to what foods make it worse, and limit those.
The good thing about this, you know your DS is working properly to keep the fats out of your system. Generally, all the literature I've seen says we only absorb about 20% of all the fat we eat, so a lot of what comes out is heavy on fat, especially when you have a new DS,
Hang in there, it *will* get better!
You are far enough out from surgery that this should not be an issue. You are going to need to do an elimination diet to find out what foods are giving you problems. unltess it is just too much fat and not enough calcuim. That would be an easy fix.
So my advice is to start posting everything you eat and your complete supplement program on the bites and vites thread here every day. There you will be able to get more specific advice to your situation.
