I hope you read and digest what has been posted.  It's all true.

If you have a true DS revision, you will no longer have a pouch.  You don't really need powdered vites, you can take pills.  Also I doubt you have been given a true picture of the supplements you need to take postop.  Hank out here and read.  Look at Vitalady's ds vite package.  Good place to start.

I will say this and then move on. I work for a major health insurance company, and I process the claims. No particular surgeon is perfect where they don't make mistakes or the patient doesn't have complications. I see it everyday per I have to review them. In particular the surgeons that we are discussing. Science or no science no one is perfect. We pray that the decisions that we make with picking a qualified surgeon is the best one, however once again nobody is perfect. That's why you sign paperwork in regards to that.

Yep, you're right and EVERYONE else is wrong.  Good luck to you.

Soooo.... Did you get the RNY to D with Dr. Barker? What was your experience? I would go to Dr. Stewart but he died. I found out that Dr. Kim no longer takes BC?BS So now I'm trying to figure out who to go to for the same procedure you had.

Dr. Alexander just wants to revise my rny GB, recreating the pouch by cutting out the expanderd small intestine part of the pouch and then cutting part of the disconnected stomach out to reduce hunger.

I'm very interested in earing how it went as I really think I want to go to DS instead just to be done with all this.
