I'd test a really small amount if you're desperate.  You may not know how sensitive you are to sugar or sweetener yet.

If you can you'd do better with some Greek yogurt as you'd at least be getting some protein in.  I'd do it with stevia and a little Splenda (a lot of us are OK with Splenda, but as ever it's a YMMV thing).

It's not the sugar that's such a problem as the milk that gives me real problems, so I look to French Vanilla or frozen custard.  I get different effects from different ice creams.  Soft serve is makes me horribly gassy.    I know that they have frozen Greek yogurt now, so I would try that.

Personally I think it is not a good idea.  You are probably lactose intolerant (some of us remain so).  The carbs in ice cream are ridiculous and too many carbs can make you bloated and gassy.

My advice is to stick with protein rich soft foods.  There will be plenty of time for ice cream later.

You may like CarbSmart but again, I don't recommend it so early out.  It is just going to take up space you need for protein.
