Hi everyone :)  My toddler threw a fit when we tried to go out to dinner last night...so we hit the Arby's drive thru instead.  First time I've been there since surgery, I cannot believe I used to be able to eat all that!!!  I made 2 meals of it and still threw away about 1/3 of the meat and most of the bun.

B-1/3 of a leftover Arby's Beef & Chedder (minus most of bun).  1 mozzarella stick dipped in ranch

S- string cheese

L- white chicken chili with lots of melted cheese, SF coleslaw

D- Rachel Ray's Italian BBQ chicken (drool!), small serving of polenta, glass of milk

S-probably adkins snack bar

You did a good job. I know you'll be glad when you can take the kiddo out to restaurants.

I enjoy watch Rachel Ray too. :)

I have a question about my daily menu

I try to do 2 shakes a day with a scoop and a half of powder that would add up to 3 shakes one for breakfast and one for night snack and Atkins bar once a day before supper because I get hungry around 4 pm, I still eat 2 meals a day, lunch and supper and at least one snack besides, . I'm I eating to much?? When I started doing my shakes regularly my weight went down, but I am up again, so I think I am eating to much in the regular food department. I have been tracking on here and it seems to be ok overall. What do I need to change for loss weight, any suggestions?

What kind of nutritional numbers are on the Atkins bar you eat? Carbs, fat, calories, protein? Are you mixing your shakes with milk or cream or water?

I use about a 1/2 almond milk and cup of water mixed for my shakes. I eat about five different Atkins bars juring a week, I do eat blueberries, strawberries and sometimes 1/2 small banana in my shake or in my yogurt.  I also eat nuts everyday  about 1/2 cup to a cup for the fat, but maybe I should not be doing that, grazing is the issue, I think. Would sf hard candy help so I am not putting food in my mouth all the time?

Nov. 14/2005 I have reached the 10 year mark and I am very glad I had this surgery and can live a normal life.

You might want to take a few days and record all the carb grams and make sure you're staying under 70. Nuts can be higher in carbs than you might think and bananas are for sure. I'm trying to cut way back on my grazing too. It can sure get away from us.
