Hi everyone.  I monitor the site all the time but am waiting on approval for my DS surgery so when I get approved I will post more often.

I have heard everyone say that they have made ricotta fluff to eat after surgery.  Could someone please post the recipe for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

In a nutshell:

You start with a 16oz container of Ricotta Cheese, add instant pudding mix and enough milk or cream to get it to a desired pudding consistency.  It's a great protein boost that tastes like dessert!

Valerie---do you have the recipe for the ricotta like the pasta filling?

Thanks

I don't have a recipe, however it's just ricotta, basil, parmesan, garlic, egg and a pinch of nutmeg.  Add a touch of sauce and cheese for the best un-lasagna...or layer with sliced zucchini or sliced turkey to replace the noodles.

I just LOVE the versitality of ricotta!

I should have read the recipe on DSfacts before I went to the store. Bought Walmart Ricotta... Guess I will go to the other grocery today and get a good brand.

It's okay, just kind of grainy in texture.  I like it uber-creamy for fluff, but you can still use it for lasagna filling stuff.

I did find that the Kraft Simply brand at Walmart is very good.  Just avoid the other couple of brands.  For complete ricotta nirvana, Breakstones is your ticket.

Or you can make your own ricotta.
