Difficulty With Splenda

I like NOW Whey Protein Isolate, unflavored.  It had no strange chemicals.  I know because I did a lot of research to find one.  It also is easy on my stomach and doesn't cause gas or bloating like some whey protein powders.  I also don't like splenda (aka sucralose).  Have you tried Xylitol?  Here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xylitol.  I found it in my local health food store, but searched amazon for a better price.  The best kind is made from 100% Birch trees. Some is made from corn, but I made sure to get the birch sourced product.  I really like the taste and it's even good for your teeth, as opposed to sugar.  I can't help you with a sucralose free whey protein bar.  I am still looking for that unicorn myself.

Anything ending in ol as an artificial sweetener gives me gas/bloat. Only one I can successfully use is splenda and saccharine (and that tastes BAD). But then I have been using splenda since 1997 (Had to buy it from the company to get it until the US authorized it's sale in 1998. The company was allowed to sell it pre-1998 on a limited basis...you had to prove diabetes.
