Finally they sent them

Dr. Barker's office finally sent my medical records to Dr. Stewart. Jessica submitted them to insurance today. I have an appointment for the EGD on March 1st. So, now things are moving forward again. Maybe I can have the surgery around the end of March...*fingers crossed*

Glad to hear of the records being sent!  I know places vary a lot, but my practice scheduled me way more than a month out, so I think more patience is called for (sorry to say), but most DSers find it oh so worth it.

Yeah. That is true. Originally we did not think it would take that long but Dr. Barker's office took over two weeks to give them my medical records. We were expecting to have approval a couple of weeks ago since I have already been approved for Dr. Barker. Dr. Stewart said he did not see why I could not have it in March but that was before this delay with my medical records. If I get approved in the next few days I may be able to do it around the end of March or early April. 
 

We shall see how long it takes insurance to approve me again with the new surgeon. *fingers crossed*

Excellent!  I hear a lot of good stuff about Dr Stewart's office...not so much about Barker's.

Follow up after lunch on Monday to make sue they've got things moving at the insurance company.

An update though..I was contacted today by Jessica and she asked me to call Dr. Barker's office. They still have not released the insurance claim for surgery. They cannot submit for another surgery through Dr. Stewart until Dr. Barker closes his. SOooo...waiting again.

Also, their insurance peeps at Dr. Barker screwed up and did not pre authorize my cardio diagnostics so my insurance did not use the amount towards my deductible and refused to pay so I have to file an appeal through Dr. Barker's office. I thought they were suppose to know how to do this stuff. GRRRRR. NOW, I have to print and fill out a form and fax it to Dr. Barker and ask them to file an appeal so that BCBSNC will pay for it. Otherwise I am going to get billed 5k..To hell if I am going to pay for that out of my pocket. 

I know this stuff seems so minor to those who are struggling for approval and I am sorry for the *****ing...I am just such a stickler for doing things the right way. I am so very anal about stuff like that. People simply need to do their jobs so that things like this for paying customers is not such a pain. That is what they are paid for.
