TPN to begin!!! Help!!

I have had it before, but not for anything that had to do with WLS. Basically you get fed by IV.
It can be done in an infusion center, hospital or you can do it at home if they set you up with the pump. Usually at home they prefer that you have a family member that learns how to set it up and operate it.
In my case, when i traveled, they had me visit an infusion center in the city where I traveled. It may be tricky with you being on a 16 hour cycle, but perhaps you can do your work, and check in as an outpatient and get the infusion if they that up ahead of time.
Can you sleep with it running or not? Sorry, not familiar with how that works either.
Also, he can't force you to have a reversal. Do the best you can to get your labs and nutrition up to speed and go from there. Keep us posted.

You'll probably have a port put in and you will begin your infusion when you get home from work and all night long. When you are up you will probably carry the bag around with you in a holder.
You will have to take your TPN fluid with you on your trip. I believe you will need to show a prescription to carry it on the plane but check on the TSA regulations in advance. You will also need to take the stuff with you to do the daily care on the port.
How far out are you and did you try creon? Checked you profile and your BMI says 33? That can't be right!

23 is a normal BMI. Are your labs really bad?

Yes , she can sleep with in running. It is usually a bag of nutrients that is run (well, in my hospital) we run it for 24 hours and then replace with new bag and tubing. Not sure how that will work with work...I can see them having you go to the infusion center or docs to get the bag and tubing changed...make sure they put a PICC line in.....I had to have one and it really is much better than a peripheral IV....doesn't hurt and they can actually pull labs from there too but TPN needs to be shut off for at least 20-30 min and line flushed well. Let us know what they have you do....praying for you.
