Just starting to look into DS surgery

Is there anyplace on the boards that describes someone's surgery plus hospital stay and tests?  I am trying to find out how long I wil be out of comission.  Any help would be appreciated.

For work - plan on a month off at least..two if you can swing it. I was very listless for a good 5 weeks, but it took close to the full 2 mos to get my bowels on a schedule.

Eight weeks out from an open surgery and I am JUST getting my energy back.  It was quite painful up to seven weeks for me.
