How many of you take biotin and how many mg? Did it help? I like my hair...used to be thicker until I had my daughter and I do know that it will fall out and grow back. How many just chopped it off? I dont want to look sick....or have a shiny scalp with brittle looking hair;(

I've not lost any hair, but have you tried a wig?  There are plenty of cute ones out there and lots of youtube vids showing how to fit and maintain them.

I tried biotin...the ONLY hair I grew was that on my chin.

It might work for you.

Good article about hair loss.

Mine got really thin altho I was the only one who noticed. I cut mine short. It grew back in...

Pre-op mine was wavy, it's REALLY curly now, except for a spot right in front at the hairline that is STICK straight.

Thinlizzie, feel free to PM me.  I will be glad to give you all that has worked on my hair too long for a post.

Biotin will benefit the new growth that is pushing out the old, but will not stop the shedding.  I vote for a makeover.  Layers are key for blending in the new growth.

Ask you Doctor to put you on PRENATAL vitamins.   Trust me they work!  and it will take care of any possible vitamin deficiencies that you may have.

Protein is the key. But I also started with B12 (5000), Biotin (5000), Inositol (500), and gelatin caps after my VSG and my hair actually got thicker (I was practically bold on top pre-op).
