Speaking of Gas; Good news!

Speaking of gas, I have had persistent gas problems since surgery and have posted to complain several times.  I want to report that 2.4 years out, I can now tolerate yogurt, better than I could shortly after surgery, and the regular intake of yogurt has reduced my gas considerably, both in odor and volume. It has also firmed up and regulated my bowel movements as well.  So, for any of you experiencing gas early out, that seems unrelated to diet, this may change for you after a year or two.

Good news!!

That's exactly what I've been trying to tell people.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF YOGURT

Just a cup a day makes a huge difference, and much cheaper than probiotics.

I had yogurt the first week out of the hospital.  I started with Activia and then learned to like Greek yogurt - Fage. Greek has the most protein.

I totally agree with Valerie. A little yogurt makes a huge difference with gas and the unpleasant odor. I notice that if I eat some carbs but have some yogurt, I dont suffer from the gas and odor that I normally would have without the yogurt.

I have Chobani greek yogurt every day. I didnt particularly care for it when I first started, but I am totally enjoying it now. Lots of good flavors AND protein! Don't under estimate the value of the protein! There are few foods that treat us so darn well.

I buy Plain yogurt by the quart , flavor with extracts, sweeten with Splenda, and slurp away!

Yogurt is my go-to for a sweet snack, with protein to boot, and Greek Yogurt has twice the protein of regular.  I alternate both, depending what's on sale!
