So it has been a four days since I faxed Dr. Barker's office permission to send all my records to Dr. Stewart....still nothing. I hope they do not draw this out. I really want to have my surgery in March but it looks like that will not happen because peeps will not get on the ball. I may have to drive up and get copies myself. If they will let me.

Did you call Barker's office. Demand it be done. If they don't you tell them to have the paper work in an envelop and you will be picking it up. You paid for the services, they are your records. Period.

I am going to do that this morning. Waiting on them to open. Her phone call to me telling me she is hurt that I would go to another surgeon was very unprofessional. Now they are just acting butthurt. I hope I do not have to drive up there today because it is so far away but I gotta do whata Future DSer gotta do. lol

They are saying it could take up to two weeks before Dr. Barker can release my files. He has to sign off on them. I was hoping to have my surgery in March but it looks like possibly April now. Why does he have to sign off on them?

Sounds like a stall to me...if they hold on log enough you will change your mind and go back to them.

Hold steady...and if it's delayed til April, a month is not that big an issue in the LONG term.

That sounds like bull to me...I'd demand a copy of my files immediately. They are your files and you have a right to have immediate access.
