Swallowing pills
Very early out....2.5 weeks. I went to the store and bought Prilosec as suggested by a few here;) I was wondering about swallowing these pills. They are tablet...Tic Tac size. Should I crush or just swallow it. Dr. stated nothing bigger than an m&m for a year. What ya think>
Prilosec never worked for me...however, Protonix does...so I now get the generic at Costco...very tiny pills.

Before having the DS I very much believed in trusting everything your Dr said and not heresay you found on the internet. AFter some supplementation issues I have learned where the DS is concerned trust the internet Gods and not your surgeon. Take the pills, you'll be fine. I'd call your drs office to make sure you understood that right, it sounds off even for wacky advice that some of them give. You can certainly swallow those pills whole. Like someone else said, you'll be swallowing calcium pills before long, so the no pills for a year advice is rubbish
My surgeon's office had me terrified about swallowing pills. I was told I would need to crush pills for the rest of my life! After about three weeks I got brave and followed the advice of the vets on this site. No problems with pills at all. I still have a lot of chewable vitamins left from a large purchase, but after that I'm switching to regular pills to swallow.
By the way - NEVER crush a Prilosec - that nasty taste will stay in your mouth for hours!!
