Protein help please

It may take trying several brands and flavors to find one that sits okay with you.  Definitely mix cream or water instead of straight milk, for many have problem with straight milk post-op.  Many sites have single servings you can get before you invest a fortune in a giant tub of something.  I highly recommend that.  If you must have a creamier consistency, try heavy cream or almond milk.

I have been drinking all sort of Muscle Milk flavors mixed with soy milk for two years now, and I'm 2.5 weeks out of my DS and didn't think I could continue.  I was just over it.  But now I've discovered the Syntrax Nectar and I just blend it with water and ice and it's just like fruit juice and doesn't have that protein-y taste.  I'm glad I finally tried them.

I'm 5 months out and I'm just now able to tolerate protein drinks. For me it has nothing to do with taste or milk (I'm not lactose intolerant). It was having my new intestines tolerate it. My favorite is the syntrax nectar. They have many flavores. Give yourself a little time and try again. Also, I think one thing that eventually helped me was to start with 1/4 scoop protein and work my way up to 1 full scoop. Now I'm working my way up to 1 full scoop twice a day.

Don't stress over it. You are doing good.

Where do you get syntax nectar and what protein powder do you add to it?  Surgery scheduled for April 3rd.
