OT Parotid Tumor

I just has my DS 3 months ago. Now I am diagnosed with a parotid tumor that will require surgery. Has anyone else had one? What was recovery like? How many days in the hospital? How much time off of work? I have an apt with the Dr. tomorrow to talk about all this, but I would like to hear it from some one who has been there.

I personally don't know anyone who has had this.  I did find this article from the New York Times - it referenced abdominal surgery.  Search and get second opinions!
