To all those in STALLVILLE!!

This gives me hope!  I was stuck in stallville for essentially the entire month of January (19 days!) before i saw any sort of drop.  Even still, I'm only down 7 lbs since the first of the year.  But as someone pointed out on this site, I've lost half of my excess weight so my body is definitely having to adjust.  I MUST learn to avoid the scale, but like so many of us, it has become an obsession and I don't mean since WLS, but for years before.  I have an appointment with my nutritionist and hope that speaking with her will help me A) get new ideas about foods and B) make me realize that I really am on track even though my loss came to a screeching halt.

Thank you for the inspiration and positivity!!  We WILL make it!!

Exactly..,  u are doing marvelously!!    i was weighing almost everyday.   but i have learned its better not to see the up and down.  i weigh once a week.. on a saturday at the gym!  lol

i have always been an over weigher and i have just learned to let it go.   if you need any tips on food let me know.   i tried the cream cheese pankcakes that hunypie(i believe it is) posted about..  i also have a few other low carb hgh protein things to help keep me in check.

WE WILL MAKE IT!!

Well, I'm not even sure how I stumbled upon your post, but I'm RNY. I don't know anything about DS. Are recipes about the same? Food types? Etc? My surgeon doesn't perform the DS, so I didn't even know it was out there until I signed up for this site.

Thanks for your encouragement and great job on your continued success!!

Sarah,

congrats on you surgery, but please don't follow anyones advice for diet on the DS forum, the way we eat and the way a RNY person should eat are completely different.

Good Luck

Thank you for the advice. I am seeing my nutritionist next Tuesday so I hope to get some guidance there. Regardless of the surgery, it is encouraging that I'm not alone in stalls and plateaus. Again, not sure how I even popped onto this listing, but it inspires me. Thank you, though, for letting me know things are so different for you.

Glad your stall broke.  What a relief that must be.
