I think we all lose hair early out and it's due to dumping hormones and possibly the anesthesia from surgery.  But, to bring your hair back healthy, you might want to increase your protein to 120+ grams a day.

Sometimes folks can increase their vitamin A and help the skin issues but those can also come from dumping hormones as we lose weight so quickly.

Are you on a vitamin regimen like Vitalady's plan?

No my surgeons nutritionist recommends  a multi vitamin with adek so i have been taking  the celebrate multivitamin with ADEK

twice a day , 30 mg of iron,  B-complex, calcium citrate 2 x a day , biotin 5000 mg , 50 mg of zinc . i also started taking an extra 2000 Vitamin D because it was low before surgery and i noticed  it has improved my mood as i noticed i seemed to feel a little depressed and more fatigued .  I have lost a total of 72 lbs so far but  I will definitely try increasing my protein .

Those seem like pretty low doses of vitamins and protein compared to what many of us to take to maintain our levels. Let your labs be your guide and check out vitalady.com for her DS plan.  Our dietitian has adopted a vitamin plan very close to Vitalady's plan, if you're ever interested, let me know and I'll send it to you.

Here's a link to her plan. Many NUTs don't like it because it recommends higher doses than theirs but it works.

You adjust this plan after you start getting your labs back. Get a copy for your self and start tracking on a spreadsheet to watch for trends.

That was about the time I started losing my hair and getting 3 bald spots.  I take 5000 mg of Biotin twice a day.  I am not familiar with Biosil.  I also take Horsetail.

My skin pigment has changed as well.  I am 2 shades lighter in foundation.  It's ok.  The surgery is hormone reactive according to not only the surgeon but my PCP & Cardio.  I am 49 so I have hormone craziness happening.  It's trauma from the surgery as well as anesthesia as well as nutritional deficiencies and bottom line: Protein.  It doesn't happen to everyone but then there are those like me and some I have seen pics worse.

A friend of mine gave me the Morroccan Oil Hair Growth Treatment.  It is working.  I am amazed.  I was using Joico and switched to this line.  It's really making a difference with the texture of my hair:  I started with the styling elixr which is a funky green color and has a funky smell.  It makes my hair soft.  Then added the shampoo/conditioner.  HERE  I will continue with the Morroccan Oil Growth Treatment with this.

I was very frustrated just 2-3 weeks ago.  Just this week, my hair loss has stopped.  I can see the regrowth myself.  It's growing in a bit different then again I have naturally curly hair.

Best of luck!

Thanks,  i had not thought about the hormone component. Although I knew that the anesthesia could cause a problem.

I forgot to address the acne component.  I have had some places come up.  Not to worry.  I use the Neutrogena 8 hr Spot Gel.  The minute I feel it, I put it on.  Then I don't put any treatment and/or moisturizer on that area.  I do it at least twice a day.  It works for me and it's not expensive!

Whether or not you take xtra supplements - your hair loss will stop in a few months.  Telogen Effluvium is a result of the trauma to your body from surgery.  The hair shedding is being replaced by new growth.  Now is the time for a cute layered cut to blend in that new growth and not look like a chia pet.   I would suspect that the new acne is the result of hormonal changes that come with the rapid weight loss, and will also pass.  Panoxyl is a great facial wash for acne, though.
