Yes Whey 100% whey protein isolate protein shots. Anyone tried them?

I stumbled across protein shots that are 3 oz, 25g of protein and claim to be 100% whey protein isolate (versus the crap collagen protein in most shots).

Just wondering if anyone has tried them?  I don't enjoy drinking shakes, and I would love to just plug my nose and suck down one of these.  But I'm a little skeptical of their claims....

I tried some at the beginning, couldn't stomach them.  What brand did you see?  I think the one's I used had 42 grams of protein.

They are called "yes whey".  The kind that has 42g is a collagen/whey blend, and collagen protein is useless.  This Yes Whey brand claims to be 100% whey protein isolate which is the best form of protein.  I'm just skeptical of them packing that into 3oz.  I'm hoping to find someone that has used this brand and can tell me if it helped keep their protein numbers stable.

I would say give them a try and let us know what you think. I'm all for anything that is whey protein isolate.

Here is the one I used for a bit.  It was approved by the surgeon who did my surgery.  Interesting:  http://www.muscleandstrength.com/store/new-whey-liquid-prote in-42.html?gclid=CP-944mEm7UCFRSTPAodYR8AGQ

The one's you are talking about is this one? https://www1.bariatricadvantage.com/catalog/group/77102/

Call the company and find out what their PDCAAS score is... This will tell you how much of the protein can be used by the body.

They are not the type of protein you need.  Waste of time and money.

I actually just got one from Bariatric Advantage to try...I'll report back after I have. The ones I bought at WAlmart were horrendously bad.  I know they are part collagen but one ever other day or two doesn't hurt.

which walmart ones did you try? I am looking at a few different types and getting confused by all this protein talk.  The ingredients I see do not refer to collagen n any way, I tried body fortress  30g per scoop whey isolet protein only

B...have you tried any of the nectar shakes? I love the fuzzy navel in water (tastes like sunny D) and the chocolate truffle is delish in milk. I couldn't drink alot so I'm trying it in water next. They might help you. 23 gr in a scoop/8oz water.

they are collagen based = useless

you won't absorb it efficiently enough, its actually a waste of money. i guarantee if you take that as your main source of protein your protein levels will drop.

if it truly is whey isolate i would give it a try but i am always wary when they say 'shots' because they are oil based. it would be interesting to find a pre-made 100% whey isolate. i don't think i have ever come across one yet. i bet they are spendy on a daily basis but if you needed it for quick grab it would be nice. if it is not collagen delivered.
