Back on track!!

Hello fellow DS'ers!!  Long time since I've been on the boards!  I have been holding very steady at 142-147 for the past two years, and thought I was doing good.  Well.... I changed the battery in my scale, and I'm up to 154!!!  YIKES!!

I had been getting very lax with myself, eating whatever I wanted, especially junk food.  I also noticed that I have been grazing all day, rather than eating decent meals.

Sooo, I'm officially back on track today.  I had my protein coffee and scrambled eggs with cheese for breakfast and have my protein shake with grape tomatoes and Babybel cheese ready for lunch.

I have always come here for support before, so I'm coming here again, looking for support from my peeps!!  I'm going to get those 10 pounds back off!

Getting back on track works.  I don't know my regained weight but I was up and entire size in jeans.  I went back on track on Thanksgiving and am back in my smaller jeans, even the smaller of that size.

The DS makes loosing a little regain SO EASY.  I have not suffered or felt like I was on a diet AT ALL.  The weight just came off.  It took a few months so you have to stay motivated but it really works.

So Becky, what measures have you taken to get back on track?  I am cutting the carbs and starting to exercise.  I am also giving up my beloved Diet Coke.  Not so much for the weight reason, but it was really starting to bother my stomach.  Problem is I just feel hungry ALL the time!!  I had a protein shake and cheese for lunch an hour ago, and I'm already having an Atkins bar.  At least it's good choices...

Hey, how tall are you?  Is 142 - 147 your comfort weight...where you want to be, and happy.

I am 174, and happy with my weight, at 5'8.  Anything smaller in my opinion in my face does not look for me.

Sunshine, I'm 5'4".  I felt really good in the 145 range, and even before my scale decided to be "honest", I started noticing the weight in my face and neck, which is where I really was heavy before.

It's sad, but I have felt sooo good about myself for the last two to three years, and with the gain of these 10 pounds, I am feeling those old guilty and self-loathing feelings again.  I was hoping to never feel that way again.  But today went well, with a few slipups, but I am hopefully on the right track!

I would also be interested in know what steps are suggested to get back on track.  I'm 3 years out as of 1/29/13!!!  And I've maintained my weight pretty well, however I started to get out of control over the last 8 months so now I'd like to lose about 8-10 lbs.  But most importantly, I'd just like to do a better job at staying within my goal range.  I started eating a lot of carbs and sweets so now I'm just cutting a lot of that out.  Maybe carbs in the morning.  I never really understood that I could get all of the Fat I wanted or really don't need to cut FAT.  But I've also increased my protein to about 100g a/day.  I guess I'm just looking for best practices and how to get back on track when I fall off.  Thank you for this post because I at times need the reminder that I'm not alone in this whole thing.

Well, my biggest thing is adding more protein and cutting carbs!  I did really well yesterday, and my scale was back down to 152.  Honestly, exercise has never done ANYTHING for me to help me lose weight.  It's all about what I eat.  I also need to cut back on the beers. :) Haha.  But I haven't had a Diet Coke in days, which I think also leads to me craving carbs.  We can do this!
