Proferrin if you can find it on the shelf. We have a compounding pharmacy where I live, and they tend to carry those types of things retail. If you have a good relationship with a local pharmacist, he/she may be able to help you find a good substitute until you can get your Vitalady supplies. If you go the local pharmacist route, make sure you say *heme* iron to him/her. DSer's need iron in that form!

I have bought carbonyl iron at the local CVS store. It is Feosol brand. That kind of iron is good with my stomach. You can also take plain old cheap ferrous sulfate but I think it gives more stomach problems and is not absorbed as well as other types. I take a combination of carbonyl iron and Proferrin. You can get Proferrin from the Colorado Biolabs website.
