6 Month(almost) update with pics! (xpost)
Hello everyone! I will be 6 months out on Wednesday, so I thought i'd update while I had time this evening.
The SV's and NSV are abundant these days.
I made it to Onederland on 1/9, just over 5 month out.
I have gone from a TIGHT 30 to a loose 14.
I have lost 153 lbs. (as of Monday)
Now, at 6 mos:
I get in all my vits most days. (lose a batch or two here and there, but I'm getting better all the time)
I Get in all my fluids.
I drink no less than 60 grams of protein via shakes still, due to my EXCELLENT restriction. I *try* to squeeze in 30-40 from food throughout the day. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't, but I do pretty good, and all my # are good thus far.
EVERYTHING is easier now. I wake up rested each day, instead of barely functional with a pounding head. Now I rarely even get aheadacheanymore! All the greasy POS yuck has gone away and *I* havegreat skinfor the first time EVER. I'm doing things with my husband and daughter with energy to spare.
My most favorite recent example is that last weekend, we went to the local mountain for the day, hiked around, made a campfire lunch, spent the whole day. Instead of HATING life, miserable, wishing I could just get home because I was so uncomfortable and tired; I LOVED it! I was running ahead of hubby and the 5 year old everywhere!
Life at home has gotten better too. The small things mean so much to me. Like, I am able to take over a lot of things I just couldn't handle at my high weight, like carrying loads and loads of laundry up and down the stairs to the garage. My lovely hubby who works full time has beendoing the laundry(although i'm a homemaker) because of that, and I'm elated that I can do it again! And not to be to graphic, but bedroom activities... just... WOW. *ahem*
Anyway, I love my DS!
I plan on heading to the paclap support group in San Francisco in February, I hope to see some of you there!
The before was the night before surgery, 7/29/12 at 345 lbs. The "after" is tonight 1/26/13 at 193 and as of Monday (I only weigh on Mondays).
You're doing a great job. : )
