Period after DS Surgery

Question for the ladies (sorry guys)!! 3 days after my surgery I got my period, which was a little early but expected since I know it can happen. My question is....it has been almost 5 weeks and I have not gotten another one. Is that typical after surgery? No.... I am not pregnant & and I have never been irregular. Thanks!!

My dr's paper work also said your period could start after the surgery. Were you on any pain killers or antibiotics while you were in the hospital. I was in 2 weeks ago for an infection and was on both and haven't gotten my period yet, and I am regular almost to the day. It probably got messed up with the meds while you were in the hospital. 

Your body just went through major trauma. It's got other things to worry about right now. It took me about 4 months to get regular again. From what I've read, all normal.

Yes, your entire system has to adjust to your new lifestyle.  That is just one change, that is the obvious, there is other symptoms that is happening that may not be as obvious.  After 2.5 years I'm still learning...its nothing major, but I'm still learning.  You cycle should eventually adjust. Currently I have a cycle every 25 days now, instead of 28 days.
