Surgery was two days ago. Pretty darn sore...and that is to be expected. I have this air pocket stuck in my chest and the only way to relieve in is through vomiting. What comes out is nastly..thin, rust colored and smell is horrible...not like regular vomit. How did you get the gas bubble out? They are keeping me an etra night...havent passed gas or had a bm yet. I havent begun to sip yet due to this lump in m throat,,,,the air bubble....can anyone hel me>>>

My understanding is the gas bubble has to work its way out over time. Mine seemed to collect in my upper back and it took a couple of weeks to finally be gone. Keep walking and moving as much as you can. I hope things progress so you can get out of there.

I'm almost 5 weeks post op. I had major air bubbles too. The hospital gave me a heated blanket I put over my cheat and collar bones (that's where my bubbles were). It helped, but it just takes time. I ended up throwing up like you, for 2 weeks. Peppermint, sugar free, does wonders for those air bubbles. I use Altoids.

Glad to hear you will be going home tomorrow! I know you got this. That air bubble things sucks. Sounds like it would be irritating if not painful. Rooting for ya.
