What is your favorite and worst probiotic?

I use Culturelle when things get really out of whack, but only until I return to normal.  I also periodically drink a Siggi's probiotic yogurt.  That stuff is great and full of probiotics.

Greek yogurt is my normal way of getting probiotics.

On antibiotics for DS related issues - I try to avoid them except when traveling!  I must have ate something that was not properly cleaned or cooked just before I left Egypt several years ago and only Cipro and Imodium got me home! Had this happen in Miami and Alaska as well.  I also had a mild situation in Peru, though not quite as bad (just 1 1/2 years ago).  I just took my emergency Cipro and it helped calm things down.  As the years pass, it seems that my innards have adapted more and more and this situation occurs less and less.

They come in various strengths.  Walgreen's just started carrying them and they are half price this week.  I take them regularly.  Also yogurt.   I've tried various brands.  Didn't do well with Primal Defense.

I gave up on probiotics and now just eat my daily "dose" of Greek yogurt. I'm lovin' the Dannon Light n Fit Greek yogurt right now.

Sometimes switch up brands, but always look on label to see if it contains Saccharomyces boulardii.  Typically take large doses - right now using Primal Defense ULTRA and take 6 capsules (2 morning, noon and night)

I'm currently on culterelle (so?) I have tried several, this one seems to work well. I was on primal defense ultra for 6 months... Didn't like it

I currently use Pro Digest Gold and really like it.  Finally got rid of my constant bloating, and have less trouble "tolerating" food as I have just started eating real food in the last couple of weeks.  I'm just not able to eat yogurt regularly so I'm using these for now.

If this product is what I think it is, it's an enzyme formula with probiotics added.  Enzymes are what docs give to slow down weight loss...

Yes as pupppysweets mentioned, Saccharomyces boulardii is great for diarrhea problems, IBS, IBD, even C-diff.  You can  take it in addition to another probiotic.  Right now I have the Jarrow brand.
