What is your favorite and worst probiotic?

Just taking a general ask around :) I know everyone is different and that's why I am asking. I want to see what works for you and what you found (in your own personal journey) doesn't work. Also how much do you take, dosage wise per week.

I can't wait to hear the responses!

I have been taking Trunature Digestive Probiotic from Costco. It has helped quite a bit. I have nothing to compare it because I havn't tried anything but this one. I might try a different one when this runs out. See if it helps even more :)

On a side funny note: I slept in the spare room last night because I ate some home made sugar cookies. It was horrible, so so bad. I took all those cookies to work and gave them out to everyone. I refuse to relive that, thank God my husband didn't have to.

We had trouble remembering to take a probiotic since they typically have to be refrigerated after opening. So we got the Digestive Advantage gummies from Costco. They just have to be kept cool...and they work. ONLY gummie I was willing to try.

I get great results with a daily dose of greek yogurt.  If I go a few days without any, I can really tell the difference in the bathroom.

I notice that when I stop eating my Greek Yogurt Daily and if I don't take my probiotic for a few days in a row that I get gas, bloating and smelly stools more. I don't know if I need a round of Flagyl or if I just need to be religious with my probiotics like I am with my vits?

I will give the consistency with them first a try before going for Flagyl:)

I'm not a big fan of prolonged use of antibiotics even though the practice is so common among DSers.  If I can get by with yogurt, I get double benefit with the protein, so I'll take that.

I have used very little antibiotics myself. I will do anything to clear it up before I go that route. So is probiotics a daily thing or a once in awhile thing?

Those who take probiotic pills make them part of the daily routine.  Yogurt is part of my daily routine - great for breakfast.

I take Culturelle or Sustenex and incorporate one into my morning pills each day.  I also eat yogurt a couple times a week.  I don't have any major bathroom problems.  I started taking them because I had to be on a round of strong antibiotics three times in a row and it was recommend to supplement with one of those two - and I just kept it up.

I have used Primal Defense Ultra for many years with good results. Also occassional yogurt.
