are there any good carbs?

I have been following the low carb (under 50) and high protein (150) for over a week.  Its tough to keep protein up and the carbs down.  I am missing some fiber though. How do you keep healthy fiber in your diet without blowing the carbs?

Thanks for the support.

We malabsorb 40% (or is it 60%?) of the complex carbs we consume  These are the green vegetables low on the glycemic index and will give you the fiber you're looking for.

Green veggies.  Seriously, the only good carb is the one you don't eat!

Nuts and veggies.   When I'm low-carbing to bust a few pounds regain, those and Greek yogurt are the only carbs I eat.    Nuts give me  crunch satisfaction, plus protein, plus fiber.   I will also eat popcorn with lots of melted butter, but I didn't add that until I was about 9 months out and close to goal.

Hi Julie. aren't popcorn and peanuts to high in carbs if I am trying to stay under 50 gms a day?

Popcorn slathered in a ton of butter just seems to be free food to me.  During my weight loss phase I ate it every day.  I think it helped with my constipation also.  I still like it but I don't eat it every day any more.
