The ONLY surgeon in Mexico that is recommended is UNGSON.  Really really, don't go to anyone else in Mexico.

I hope I am wrong about the tone of your email.

I say that because I have read every thread and post about Mexican doctors on this site since early 2009.  I had a friend  who almost died and could not find a US surgeon to touch her even though they knew without surgical intervention she would die.  We have lost members here and it is as painful to loose an OH DS friend than to loose a friend in real life.  Hell sometimes more so.

So that is why DS Facts keeps a list and why we only recommend Ungson.  We know he won't kill you.  And that you are likely to actually come home with a DS (people have gone to Mexican doctors and come home with lord knows what but NOT a DS).

We certainly aren't invested in Dr Ungson.  We ARE invested in keeping the DS an available option and if Mexican or any other doctors give it a bad rap then THAT affects inoccent people who need this life saving surgery.  STATS can kill a surgery type just like they can kill other procedures.  We do not want our stats skewed.  We want this surgery available for everyone who needs it and is bright enough to figure out how to live with it.

I had my DS done by Dr. Aceves. Ungson assisted. I had a great experience, and would recommend Dr. Aceves in a heartbeat. My recovery was great.
