For those of you keeping your carbs low - how the heck are you doing it?

Agree with previous 2 posters - do not eat low fat anything! Why in the world a DS would ever eat anything from a weigh****chers menu is beyond my understanding.
Have you thought of starting your day with protein instead of a yogurt (although I understand yogurt has a little bit of protein in it)? For instance, have eggs and bacon, or ham, or sausage, or an omelet, or left over meat, or cheese pancakes. Counting carbs is not fun. Instead, just try to limit them by avoiding bread, pasta, chips, pastries, noodles and other starchy foods.
Count your protein and shoot for a minimum of 30grams of protein per "meal" and then get another 50 to 75 grams of protein in as "snacks". Eat protein first - no matter what is on your plate, eat the protein first. After you meet your protein goal for the day, THEN have a few carbs, if you want to - for instance, full fat pudding or chocolate candy , or popcorn with a lot of butter.

I'm six months out and I can barely handle carbs. Just the thought of bread, beans, pasta, potatoes or even a glass of milk makes my stomach churn.
I drink the Premiere rtd shakes from Costco. Pretty low carb, high protein and pretty inexpensive.
Today was a very busy, on-the-road day, so I had a shake for both bf and supper. Lunch was a salad and rib eye steak. Snacks were a rtd shake and popcorn (2 different snacks)
I'm 5 months out and down over 100 pounds. I don't count carbs, I count protein. I eat protein bars and shakes (isopure and Atkins) , which are great for on the go. Lots of meat, cheese and eggs. I eat beans, milk and Greek yogurt. I also eat a couple of pieces of fruit a day...satisfies my sweet tooth. I don't eat bread, pasta or anything like that. They upset my stomach and are unnecessary, empty calories. I find if I eat too many carbs I'm more hungry. If I eat and drink lots of protein all day my appetite is small. I'm losing about a half a pound a day, which I am pleased with. But what is even better is that I am happy with the way I am eating and don't feel deprived one bit. I could (and plan to) eat like this forever. I avoided going super low carb because I know that although I lose weight fast in ketosis, I gain it right back, and fast, as soon as I reintroduce carbs into my diet. If my weight loss slows or stops I will revisit the carb situation but right know I'm good.
