It's hard to reach perfection if you don't even try.

I had OHIP approved Duodenal Switch surgery with Dr. Dennis Hong at St. Joseph's Hamilton on March 7th, 2012. Want more information on the DS in Ontario? Send me a private message!

This is totally normal and is usually a sign that your body is adjusting in some way.  Just relax and try not to focus on it. Stress always seemed to make me stall and once I stopped worrying about it, I would notice a drop.

I remember feeling the same way, discouraged about having the surgery. I had no idea what it would feel like, or the changes my taste buds would go through. I still cant eat much solid food at a time. Regardless of all this I did manage to reach my goal in 8 months, and maintain for the past  9 months. With every stall, I always felt I had to try something. Stalls are the body adjusting fluids. Journaling your foods and fluids and carbs will help you see your progress. I listed my weight loss too, counting all the lbs lost at the end of the month. I would lose track of my losses, even though I liked to weigh every day. To break my stalls I would change my foods, like add a steak, eat more protein snacks, and upped my shakes. Lower carbs to be under 50g a day. Take all your vitamins and supplements. My multi vit cuts my appetite because it has  chromium. Dont give up, exercise more to increase good endorphins, which will up lift your mood through the tough stalls.

PM me if you want more help.  ;-)

Your body is simply adjusting to your new weight.  Don't sweat it.  Not everyone loses at lightening speed with no slowdown.  I've heard it said that the more you have to lose, the faster you lose it., and that may have some merit.

It's just temporary.  You will start losing again.
