I've been stuck at the same weight for 2 weeks! I'm beyond discouraged!! I try so hard to do everything right. I drink all day long, eat small meals and always try to get my protein. I'm starting to wish I would've never had the surgery. Help!!

Going through the exact same thing - except instead of staying the same, I gained almost 5 pounds in two weeks.  It is discouraging, disheartening and disgusting.  I don't know how a weight gain could even be possible, but we are putting our bodies through a lot, and they wonder what the heck is going on.  Everyone says stalls happen and they eventually break, just keep doing what you are doing.  Some even say to do something a little different, just to shock your body.  Personally, I'm going to keep plugging away, work to drink even more and eat even more protein - and go back to very basic foods - eggs, cheese, meats, and back off from the new foods I occasionally have introduced.

Don't give up and don't regret what you did - because you did it for a reason

Lisa

not to worry!  This is perfectly normal.  Put away the scale.  If you feel like you need more evidence than just your clothes getting baggie, then take measurements and you'll see a change there.  Don't panic.  Get out and take a walk.  Relax.  As long as your following the rules, you'll be fine.    One note.  You said "try to get my protein."  Don't try.  Do.  Are you having a problem there that we might be able to help with????

Yes, I can't eat that much at a time. Then 2 hours later, I get that hollowed out feeling. It's so bad it hurts! I don't know what to do! Sometimes I don't think I eat enough then other times I think I eat too much, but I still get that empty feeling.

First - go back to the DSfacts site and re-read the stall section where it explains a stall three weeks out or so.  Next - are you taking an acid reducer such as prolisec or omeaprazal?  I had that "empty" feeling and it is not pleasant - turned out the omeaprazal took care of that.   I think we are all scared of eating in the beginning.  Are you tracking what you are eating?  where are you on your protein?  Tell us what you are eating in a day and maybe the vets can provide advice.

You did not break your DS and you are probably doing everything you are supposed to be doing but your body has been through a lot so give it a break.  I am just now starting to trust the DS and know that it will help me get to goal if I plug away at it and give it a chance to work the way its supposed to.

Hang in there.

I just took a dose of omeaprazal! Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten all about taking that. We'll see if it helps.
No I don't track my food. No one has time for that!

Everyone who is serious about their DS has time for that. Are you serious? I'm almost 11 months out and still track my fluids (64oz minimum), protein (>100g) and carbs (

I have trouble keeping track too.  If you have a cell phone like blackberry or I phone there is an app called myfitnesspal that is easy to use.  I dont remember to use it everyday but It sure helps find out your protein and carbs etc when you do use it.  You can also get it on the computer just google it.  Give it a try it is quick and easy

Then why the hell did you have the DS? You're going to be in serious trouble if you don't take your surgery seriously whi*****ludes tracking fluid intake, protein grams, carbs if you actually want to have good weight loss, and your supplements, including regular and comprehensive labs... or are you not the 'type of person' who can take their health seriously and do these things? If not, you're a train wreck waiting to happen.
