I am scheduled for the DS on 2/5/13. I have considered purchasing the DS starter kit from Vitalady.com. My question is. Would I be wasiting my money on a package like that if I may have to adjust vites to my body's needs? I planned on only purchasing a one month supply due to this. I feel like going that route gives me a one up because she is experienced and I am NOT!

I would buy the quantity that gave me the best deal.  You won't know what you have to change or adjust for quite a while.

The pack is a great "shotgun effect".  I don't know of anyone on Vitalady's plan from the start that did much struggle for their labs, so there's something to be said about that.  Once you're more familiar with your own levels, you can tweak on your own, but if money is a factor, you could muster much of it a little cheaper on your own.

I think if I did it on my own I would be overwhelmed and give up. She seems to have this plan all worked out. and the 90 day supply is the best bang for my buck but I was concerned about buying that option in the event something didnt "work" for me.

Vitalady's plan is a great approach. Some of the things you want to go slow with are the iron. Start by only taking 1 capsule a week, then add another the second week and so forth until you get to the full dose. There are a lot of pills to take so start slow and be easy with yourself. Maybe start with taking a multi, D3 and calcium. See how you do and then add the vitamin A and K1. Once you're good there, try the zinc and see if your system handles it well. Just work your way up to the full plan and then have labs done and tweak where you need to. Some folks will double the D3 for a bit if they are very low, for example. Some will only need to take 1/2 the vitamin A after 3 months. It varies.

Hi,

I did the 3 month vitalady I figured I don't have labs done until 3 months anyway so will be a while before there is any tweaking.

Good luck on your surgery,

Trish
