hey Im in Houston also.  I had DS with Dr. Ferrari on 10/18/12. Im down 63 pounds so far.  It feels great!  Congrats on ur progress and yes this is only the beginning! Are u in any support groups here in Houston?

Thank you!  Congratulations!  That is awesome!  I was actually suppose to have a consultation with Dr. Ferrari.  I'm sure he's a great surgeon.  I went to Dr. Spiegel because a personal friend recommended him.  He is also  a great surgeon.  The myth about there being no experienced DS surgeons in Houston is so untrue.  We are walking proof of that.  :)

I am not apart of any support groups either. I've heard good this about Dr. Spiegel also but Dr. Ferrari came highly recommended and he was in network for me. But yeah I agree about the myth of no experienced DS surgeons in Houston....DEFINITELY NOT TRUE! 

Is this a revision or your 1st. I'm looking into a revision.

This was my first. For a revision, please make sure you are super picky about what surgeon you go to. Make sure the surgeon is VERY experienced with the specific revision you need.
