Just came from doctor for 4.5 month checkup (going from actual surgery date)  weight down another 16 pounds he says and also ordered more blood work and said to start taking vitamins.   So I am on track... Probably back to work next week too so everything is looking up.  Been out on medical leave / semi retirement nearly a year.  Also getting into it with my betrothed to either "get it straight or say goodnight"    Been a lot more aggressive since the operation and I was rabid before..

You are 4.5 months out and you are now starting vitamins?

Yes, the surgeon specifically wanted me to wait until he gave the go ahead. I trust him so I did and lived to tell the tale.

I saw a doctor go to put in a central line once.  He started the procedure by trying to put a tourniquet around the patients neck.  I bet that patient trusted him too.

Ok, I don't see how that has anything to do with my situation but thanks for sharing.  MY doctor has done nothing to earn my distrust so unless/until that situation changes I will continue to trust him.  "That's all I have to say about that."

Telling you not to take vites for 4.5 months should have earned your distrust.  it certainly has earned mine.

My doctor orders my bloodwork and stays on top of that stuff so I will stick with him until/unless that changes. He is a good doctor and DS vetted... So... Thanks anyway for the kindly words of concern/caution. Dr. Lut is good and gets amazing results.

If by amazing results you mean patients needing revisions for severe malnutrition, you're right.  I'm "amazed" that happens repeatedly to his patients, too.

Be careful, your doc may be on that list, but he certainly doesn't have a great reputation for his aftercare around here.  Do some investigating.  More than a few of his patients are sick and he recommends revisions.

Just keep up the small steps and it will add up to one giant leap. Good luck
