I wouldn't let anyone at Franklin Square cut my toenails much less bariatric surgery....I would continue looking.

Well, I had an aunt who had her knee replaced there and she died after surgery that night in her room by choking on her own vomit because no one checked on her overnight.

They misdiagnosed my dislocated shoulder in the ER and told me it was just a bad sprain.

My friend had her baby girl there years ago...I walked in her room, my friend was asleep in her bed and the baby was alone in the bassinet...I picked up the baby and walked to the nurses station and flipped out on them and said that I could have walked out of that hospital with the baby and know one would have known..

I can give you more ....if you would like..

I wouldn't trust them with my worst enemy...but you make your own decision.  There are better hospitals in the area.

The advise/ opinion you offered wasn't qualified. It was simply do this/ don't do that. With the details of the outrageous treatment now the OP can better accept your words of caution. It was general advice, too many people on this site simply say "do this/ don't do that". And they may well be correct in their opinions but without the qualification of why the questioner is left wondering about the offered advice.

I accept that...and Thank you for asking to be clarify my statement....I hope the OP takes my advice and  continues her search...

If you could put up with the long commute to NYC Lenox Hill hospital (its a center of excellence) has a bariatric program with 3 very good surgeons.

Great suggestions above. I also had to go to a Center of Excellence for my insurance. I went to Salt Lake City, UT with Dr. Simper. That is to far for you but I had to travel from Montana. Your on the east coast, I know you can find one:)
