Got to hospital about 5:45 yesterday morning. Started surgery at 8 and was in surgery for 3 hours. They kept me in recovery for 2 hours and 20 min because they had a hard time stabilizing my pain. After 6 shots of morphine and 3 shots of dilaudid they finely had me to where I could at least stand the pain.

Once I got to my room they hooked me up to a bunch of stuff. My blood pressure and all seem good and have been this whole time. For the first time this whole time I am finely able to function and not feel high. My pain is still pretty high but I'm maxed at the amount of Meds I can take for right now.

They got me to stand last night and that really hurt plus made me very dizzy. Our goal today is for me to be able to walk, shower, and change into my pj's. I have to say the people here are amazing and Clint is my prince. He is so loving and caring. Plus the rest of my family and friends have been pretty amazing too. Lol even got someone to house sit and puppy sit for us while we are gone.

Anyways that's where I'm at as of now. Hoping to go home Wednesday but still to soon to tell.

Congrats, wishing a speedy recovery. Walking makes sense to ease the gas pain.

Wow!  Thanks so much for sharing so soon in your process.  I really needed to read this because it helps confirm that too can do this!  I hope your pain subsides soon but it seems like you are handling it in spite of it - that i great and gives me strength to go forward with my decision to have the surgery.  I pray you only get better with time.  Hang in there!

You are more than welcome. I can tell you it hasn't been all roses but it has been tolerable. This morning was ruff. My Iv caused my vain to burst due to the location they had it in. But that has been the worst part. I can't stress enough take it slow, ask questions and communicate. I just finished my second lap around and it was a very slow one. But I did it! Please let me know how yours goes. And thank you all for your support! I am so excited for this chapter of my life!

Yesterday was ruff. The vane my Iv was in burst causing some issues. But over all made good progress. Ended the day with 6 laps around the 6th floor. Stomach still in pain but manageable. Hoping to go home today. Thanks again for all the support. It's so nice to have!
