Finger nail polish vs. Surgery HELP!

Thank you all so much! I called and you were all right it has to be removed. So I think i'll do what one of you said, and keep it on until Sunday, then sit down with her and explain why it has to be taken off but that she can redo it once I am home. Thank you all so much for your help!

I was told this as well, and when I asked the surgeon about it, he said one unpainted nail would be enough. 

They wanted it unpainted because the thing they put on your finger to read your oxygen level can get a bad reading due to colored polish. Ask your surgeon, and you may get away with taking polish off of only one nail.

It is true.  They watch your nail beds to see any adverse oxygen levels, so no polish.

I was able to keep polish on my nails because the color was really light...so just bring some remover and if needed remove it there.  You'll probably be waiting an hour or more before you get wheeled in anyways.  Best of luck to you!
