That's the one reason I chose the DS.  I wanted to be able to lose and then maintain my weight loss.  I think the supplementation aspect of the DS is a small price to pay for the better numbers it has for maintaining weight lost.

I have 1 dress that I could wear to sleep in, it was empire waist, with a flaired skirt, probably has either fish or tropical motif. I bought it and others to wear on beach or cruise vacations.

I NEVER put it on, because I feel I would jinx myself! As the clothes got too big, I gave them away as fast as possible. The main reason for this, is that in the past I would box up my "fat" clothes when I would lose 50 or so pounds, but never got rid of them out of fear I would need them again. And of course I would. Seems like if I think that way, it will happen.

So the fat clothes went as soon as possible. That one dress is a reminder of where I was.

I wear PJs at home, and did alter my better PJs to fit after the weight loss. I cut the excess fabric off before sewing, so I wouldn't feel that I could let them back out. I know it may seem extreme, but I don't want any iota of an idea that I can be comfortable in my old sizes.

I'm 7 years out, regained 10 pounds, and feel fine. Maintaining the loss has been fairly easy, but that 10 lbs is my limit!

Does the losing ever switch back on for you?

I'm having a tough time stabilizing my weight.  I have lost ten pounds in my sleep!

I stopped dropping pound after pound by the end of the first year. But I still lost a couple of pounds here and there during the second year, and a few the third.

At this point, I have to up protein, and cut carbs to lose weight. BUt since I'm not gaining, I just go with the flow. And I don't keep much in the way of simple carbs around the house anyway.

Simple carbs...big NO for me!

They'd have to evacuate my apartment building and call in the Haz-Mat team for noxious fumes!

I saved one top and one pair of pants from my highest weight(405 pounds) to take out and look at when I'm having a bad day!

I kept one pair of pants and all of my old t shirts.  I still wear the t shirts to sleep in and around the house.  I see the pants in my drawer and don't touch them.  I see them sometimes and think of throwing them away and never do.  I feel like some day I might want to reflect or show them to someone...who knows.  For now, they are going to stay there.  I remember them being pretty worn in the thighs so it's not like someone else is missing out of them.
