Please see reply posted to Herman.  I am not doing anything any differently than anyone else who posts here, just stating what has worked for me.

Why would you want to pick a fight over that?

Please read the post again.  It was response to Herman, not you and there was no fight picking.  Just noted that a certain feature of the message board was missing, then edited that to say that the feature actually IS still there, just not viewable in response mode.  You have the right to post whatever you want.

Herman-

I am not giving advice as gospel, just what has worked for me.  Anyone *****ads it is free to try it if it makes sense to them, or not. I always state that I am not a medical professional, and I am just stating what worked for me, nothing else.   No one responds to the same things the same way, and I think that is true of most medical conditions and treatments.

I've been in malnutrition, in fact, just coming out of it.  Got lab reports in the mail, and what the hemo asked for looks good.  I'm due for a full set  at my surgeon visit next month, and I have been working overtime to correct my deficiencies (A, K, Zinc, low prealbumin, iron- which has been corrected via infusions - and calcium, which has always been an issue for me from the word go) I did myself in, by not being as vigilant as I should have been during the six months my Mom was dying.  I think anyone would have been a little apt to slide under those cir****tances.  I always smile and nod at the nutritionist's, and if 200+ grams of protein a day makes me feel better, that's what I do. I learned to read my labs;  I have copies from the very first post-op draw, and if I need to adjust something, I do. Straight whey  nearly did me in - whey protein isolate was the answer *for me*, and was recommended by my surgeon after I landed in the hospital from dehydration 48 hours after release.  It is a real possibility.  I don't come on here trying to diagnose anybody, that's out of my realm of knowledge.  I simply state what has worked for me, the same as most other OH posters do. This is called sharing information. I also state very clearly in my posts to check with your PCP or surgeon, or, if you happen to have lucked out and gotten a competent NUT, check with them.

I am not saying that what worked for me will work for everyone; it may or may not.  As you well know, every DSer is unique.
