Leak/Infection back in the hospital

I'm so tired so scared and so alone right now. Wednesday I had my two week post-op appointnent, for my revision I had done RNY to DS, long story short my drainage was all white and milky, so I had to go to the ER, they said it must have been a very small leak that is healing because they didn't see anything in the catscan. So I have been on a rigorous routine of constant antibiotics.I also can eat or drink anything.... Ime bring fed through an IV now.

Anyone else go through this? I'm hoping this get cleared up and healed I'm just so scared.

thats good your catscan showed no leak! i had an incision infection post surgery. was on iv anitbiotics for several weeks. and tpn feeding for several weeks post surgery. take those antibiotics, your infection will clear up!

did this leak form an abscess at all? are you still being drained?

my surgery was oct 2007. my leak was from staple failure in the stomach and i had an infection in the incision. i was put on a wound vac and iv anti's for 6 wks.how are you feeling?

Sorry to hear this.  Sorry you are scared and alone.  Glad you have the internet so you can stay connected.  This problem won't last forever - keep your eye on the goal.  Consider taking some really good high dose probiotics because of the antibiotics you are taking.
