Breaded meats bad?

On any label, you want to read how many carbs it has, not so much in actual sugar.

Just because it doesn't have sugar doesn't mean it has no carbs.

That breading is made with white flour, and possible high fructose corn syrup or white sugar.  All of the aforementioned fall into the families of simple carbs ( white flour) and simple sugars (high fructose corn syrup and white sugar)

It doesn't matter if you eat them, but at the very least look up what you're eating before you do rather than be surprised afterward.

Personally, I try to avoid thick breading because I am rather intolerant at times to grain based flours and never know how it will effect me.

i always take off the breading of any meats..but i do like the flavor inside! most of breading has too much spices and for me spices give me heartburn, so i rarely ever eat the actual batter.

I would only eat the breading if the protein count is HIGHER than the carb count. A lot of these patties and nuggets are more carb than protein and it is not worth eating at all. You can usually get the same non Breaded item anyway. Like from Dominos get regular wings instead- they can make them without sauce , they toss them in the sauce after they are done - or get the hot buffalo kind it has low carbs.   Chicken parm is only worth it if you make it yourself or restaurant quality- if you are talking about freezer items they are almost always higher in carb than protein
