When I eat meat I get tired 20minutes later, anyone else experience this?

If I have eggs, sausage for breakfast, I get tired. If I eat my protein at lunch I get tired, the same with supper. I do not have the problem is I have a shake. I would like to lose some weight by eating right, but meat affecting like this has me worried.

It could be that "Thanksgiving full" sensation when you've had a bite or two too much.  Shakes go down easy, so that makes sense to me.  Try preparing the tenderest recipes and you'll not get so full.  But-- you want to know your body's signals for when it's full.  For me, it's a runny nose or hiccups.  When that happens, my son and hubby both shout "cut her off".

Slow cooked or roasted works best for me, like pot roast, roasted chicken, stew, etc.  If you do chicken, try switching from breast to thighs.  If you prefer breast, try pounding it to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick first, to break down the fibers.  Also, add butter, gravy and anything else to lubricate things.  Even if it's only a small amount left on the plate, when you get that runny nose, leave that last single bite on your plate no matter how silly it looks.  This will hopefully make a big difference for you.
