I have the protein coffee down pat now but I truly miss my juices etc... Does anyone know of a juice substitute or low carb juice product or recipie to make a juice tasting protein drink?

Juice has far more carbs than the fruit it comes from...

I have MAYBE 2 glasses of Apple Juice a YEAR! And I can't remember the last time I had Orange Juice.

I know there are Syntrax Proteins that give you the "idea" of orange juice. That link also has single serving samples available so you don't have to buy big ones and end up not liking them.

Juice has a very concentrated amount of sugars, and regular consumption may slow your loss.  If you're going to do i****er it down a lot, but I would recommend it as an occasional treat rather than a staple in your diet.

Stayed away since surgery just wanting to know about work around solutions. Heard about low carb orange pineapple juice like 2 carbs per 8 oz serving. Not gonna get it just waxing poetic about it.

I think crystal lite has an OJ type drink maybe it's called Morning Sunshine or something like that.  I thought it tasted a lot like OJ...but I don't really like OJ that much so YMMV.  I also think I've seen some lower carb cranberry type juices.  I might try one of the fruit flavored protein mixes and add to it.  But real fruit is always better than juice.  Maybe you could put a whole clementine in the blender with the protein?  I'm not sure if a clementine is loaded with carbs though.  You would have to look it up.

Fruit is full of sugar so I just avoid it.  I had blackberries last night for the first time postop...and that's 10 years.  I had 20, I actually counted them!  I still remember Dr. Buchwald telling me the only way to defeat the DS is by drinking calories.  He was talking about juice and sugared soda.

Yeah most fruit is. Like I said I'm just waxing poetic about things I miss. I have been sticking to my protein cappaucino's. Going to but some new protein powder soon and my go for some other flavor, not really sure if I'm ready for the unflavored yet. Like what would I add it to type issues. So I will stick with flavored but I'm ready to try some other flavor...

Syntrax Nectar makes a yummy grapefruit juice flavour. They also make a blue one, Crystal Sky, that I really love.  I mix these up with lots of ice and water so they are very refreshing and not too sweet.

I, too CRAVED OJ postop. Don't know why since I didn't drink it much preop! Anyways, I did find that the orange Crystal Light did take care of the craving. Hope you get some satisfaction!

Ocean Spray has Diet Fran-cherry and grape flavors with only 2 carbs. It tastes wonderful!
