This may be a stupid question, but have you thought of trying new recipes or ways of cooking? I love Stella Style recipe cookbooks and I belong to a dinner group that shares recipe.

I do eat quite a bit of cheese.  Sliced swiss cheese has 9g of protein.  I don't do bread well, so I make sandwiches with 2 slices of cheese w/mayo, then lunch meat (yes it's animal protein, ham, beef, turkey and 2 more slices of cheese.  I generally put 4oz of meat and use swiss and cheddar or hot pepper cheese for about 50g of protein.  I can only eat 1/2 at a time.  I make up 2 cans of tuna and put the tuna, chicken or egg salad on 1/4 pieces of sliced cheese.  You can make Brok's cheese pizza and add your veggies on top with extra cheese.

I do egg white protein shakes due to whey and lactose intolerance.  I also do lots of nuts and peanut butter.  I'm not worried about the carbs, but if you are still losing, you may want to only do a few ounces.

I do agree with the other poster, you probably need to eat more.  I eat every 1-2 hours.  It's not a full sized breakfast, lunch or dinner.  Just enough to start burping, telling me I'm full.   Granted I can eat a lot more now at 4.5 yrs out, than I could at a few months out, eating several small meals allows me to get in enough protein to survive.

I haven't given up. Today I made Asian cracks slaw for dinner after having chicken wingettes for lunch. The asian crack slaw is like buffalo crack slaw but with Asian flavoring instead if the spicy buffalo flavoring. It was okay but I have to make it with steak next time. The ground meat is very unappealing. My mom loved it though.. And I see why it's called "crack" slaw. Lol

What in the heck is crack slaw?

If it's made with cabbage, be careful...cabbage along with broccoli, and other Cruciferous vegetables can be the source of gastric distress. Many can not eat them, esp early on...I was almost 4 months out before being able to eat any veggy from that group. I'm not saying don't try those veggies, just be aware they can be the source of gastic issues esp early on.

Beans, etc can also cause gastric distress on a new DS gut. Not the sleeve part so much as further down.

I only used steak after I had gotten past the 6 month mark...too tough early on. I had to use ground beef and top it with applesauce to keep it moist in the first 4 months.

I found that stewed chicken in a sauce was actually easier...so was ham, esp very thinly sliced, than beef. Pot roast is another good option for the beef.

I discovered very early on (like the day after surgery) that I was lactose intolerant...cheese and yogurt don't bother me but most milk is a bloating/gassy/MISERABLE experience. I still can not drink milk and have to limit things made with milk products.

I am almost 2 years out and am still learning what my system can and can not tolerate.

Yeah cabbage etc doesn't bother me. Nor does milk, I don't drink it but not because of lactose intolerance. I only drink almond milk. So basically water lol. The ground beef is just unappealing, that was my original wake up call to vegetarianism. Biting into a burger then looking at the place where I bit and seeing the "meat". That plus reading John Robbins book many many years ago. Diet for a New America. I will just use sliced / cubed steak meat instead of ground meat, I don't have the time to grind my own beef which might make it at least palatable. Crack slaw is made with ground beef cabbage or cole slaw veggies, soy sauce, garlic and onion powders. Salt n pepper, and sesame oil as well as hot sauce. I used hoisin sauce instead of hot sauce. I will make the next batch with cubed steak and chilies and hot sauce. Try it, you'll see why it's called crack slaw. It's so flavorful it's addictive.

I had a very hard time finding meat to be appealing post op until about 6 months.  Nexium 2 x a day helped.  Protein shakes with heavy cream also assisted.  There is no way with how sensitive my stomach was the first 6 months I would have met my protein requirements without a shake.  I even went against suggestion and used regular milk just to get it in my system now I find watered down heavy cream with chopped up ice and chocolate protein powder taste like a chocolate shake.

My surgical date was 2/14/12 my taste buds have returned I am down to 154 and even my stool is more normal since i have changed to heavy cream.  I go once or twice a day it is not diarrhea the only difference from prior to surgery it is a yellow color like when my children were babies.

My hair has stopped thinning.

I have even learned when to stop as if I over eat I will vomit it not violent but if I need to I feel better to just get it over and now that happens tops 1 a month.

I decided to go AMA and add the protein supplements back in my daily food plan. I can't and don't eat that much. I use isopure zero carb protein and almond milk so I am not worried about carbs there. I make these meals and then can't really eat much so I am definitely adding the protein supp's back. That way I can drop yogurt with all it's carbs and still get protein. Feeling like Rocky Balboa, "Eye of the Tiger!"

While I don't eat much even now, I am always nibbling on something. (it seems) Grazing is your friend.

Jaiart...I use that exact protein supplement well. But please be aware of the fact you do need to eat fatty foods because of the surgery typr you had.
Best of luck
