Since the surgery I have learned the hard way that red meat no longer agree with me. Won't stay down long so ah well I guess that stuff is out. At least for now.

The further out I got, the easier eating red meat became.  In the early days, very moist ground beef, (sloppy joes, chili) were the only way I could tolerate it.   Good Luck,,,try again in a few months!   Mary  C

I think I will just let it go. It just doesn't sit well in my stomach and been wanting to kick red meat anyway. Well I'll start with ground meat and test roasts etc next.

I must be one of the lucky ones...I was able to have ground beef a few weeks after my surgery and steak a month after. I eat at least one red meat a week.

If it's hamburger you tried first, try for something more tender like prime rib or ribeye, with melted butter.  It goes down much easier.  It took me nearly a year to tolerate burger.

Will do but the hamburger goes down it just doesn't stay down. Plus my former chili head status seems to be over as well. Tried a chili dog and it seemed so spicy in fact too spicy. Same brand of chili I used prior to DS and it wasn't spicy then. Organic (Applegate I think) Beef hotdogs. Will try gourmet chicken dogs next.

It really is a trial and error kind of thing and after you've tried so many times with error aka vomitting you don't want to try again. Wait 3 months and revisit is the best advice I can give.
