Cooking...
Same here. Most of all I wanted to eat a sandwich, though... One of the DSers on facebook gave me this link. I made some of the bread this morning and OMG it's sooooooo good.
Add this one to your list. http://247lowcarbdiner.blogspot.co.uk/2011/03/mr-peanut-sandwich-bread.html

Meat, low-carb veggies, cheese, eggs etc. make a lot of fantastic meals and snacks. You just have to find the right recipes. Try pinterest, and put in low carb cooking there are a lot of recipes out there.
Also, I eat sandwiches every once and a while. I use Sarah Lee light bread, the Multi grain. It's fairly low carb and actually tastes good.
I tried that peanut bread/buns, and ended up throwing it out to me it tasted actually nasty. But I realize everyone is different.
I love cooking and have actually learned a lot through having to cook low carb because of my DH, he is a severe diabetic.
One of my favorite cookwear is the crockpot.

I am 5 years out and eat a very varied diet. I am not as gluten/carbohydrate intolerant as some others post op, so I do get to indulge occasionally without terrible effects.
I definitely eat lots of things besides meat. More variety than pre-op, that's for sure! I would experiment with different preparations and spices to keep your interest the first couple of years, but after that, you should be at the point you can eat a lot more variety.

The DS does not condemn you to only eating meat for the rest of your life! You will learn to be more conscious of what you eat WHEN. But variety is the spice of life, even for DSers.
